This was A FREE set of four photography workshops for people of all ages and abilities, run by Oriel Colwyn and Llanddulas Remembers and was held on the following dates:
- 30th March 2019 – Rhyd-y-Foel Community Centre
- 27th April 2019 – St Paul’s Church, Abergele
- 18th May 2019 – St Paul’s Church, Abergele
- 8th June 2019 – Llanddulas Village Hall
The workshops provided local people with an opportunity to work on photographic projects within the Llanddulas, Rhyd-y-Foel and Abergele areas and to learn new skills with Oriel Colwyn’s curator and professional photographer, Paul Sampson.
- First part of the session was focused on understanding your camera and how to use it. It looked at using manual mode as well as other settings and it was. We will investigate how to compose photographs and understand what makes a good picture.
- Second part of the session consisted of a photo walk; this offered photographers an opportunity to be around like-minded photographers, practicing existing and new skills in the field. The session was designed to cater for all learning opportunities within both the creative and technical fields. Participants were given photographic themes throughout the Photo Walk to challenge their photography and examine how they make their images.
