Bryn Dulas School was founded around 1895 at Coed Pella Road, Colwyn Bay by the Miss Bertha Briggs along with her sisters Laura and Maud. It was relocated to Llanddulas. The new school was rebranded as Bryn Dulas School, Llanddulas and was officially opened in around 1905. It was classified as an independent Boarding school for young ladies aged between 7 and 18 years old and catered for the daughters of the gentry, clergy, middle classes, business leaders and high-ranking members of the armed forces.
The School was successful in preparing young ladies for Scholarships to Cheltenham Ladies College and other finishing schools around the world. Several young ladies left to attend Girtons College, University of Cambridge.
The school closed its
doors circa 1930, due to a reduction in pupil numbers.
