Pictorial History Walk - Llanddulas

A big thanks must go to the Year 5 and 6 pupils in Ysgol Llanddulas for braving the weather on Friday morning in order to take pictures of local buildings and shops.. Fingers cross the weather is nicer for the children on the 29th January when they undertake the Rhyd-y-Foel History Walk.
Also thanks must go to the British Legion for the much needed refreshments..

Old Census Records

We are very happy to announce that we have recently uploaded transcripts of the Census for 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911 for Llanddulas and Rhyd-y-Foel.
These will be continuously updated to ensure that we have captured all houses with the two villages.

Now and Then Photographic Exhibition

In late February 2020, a display of the photographs taken during the Urbans Snapshot Workshops will be placed in an exhibition at Abergele Library. It will explore through
visual art, the dramatic changes in the landscape in Llanddulas, Rhyd-y-Foel
and Abergele over the last 100 years, exploring the social history and the
beautiful buildings and the families that lives in them and the architectural
period and significance.

Pictorial History Project

We would like to say a big thank you to the Rhyl Flats Community Fund for awarding us grant funding towards our latest local history project.
The grant is to enable the Trust to implement the Pictorial History Project, where we will work with various community groups and members of the community in undertaking the task of photographing the historic houses and buildings of Llanddulas, Rhyd-y-Foel, Abergele and St George and telling the stories behind them. Urban Snapshot - Photography Workshops

This is a FREE set of four photography workshops for people of all ages and abilities, run by Oriel Colwyn and Llanddulas Remembers.
